Uneven baking can result from rack position, pan placement or the chosen mode, as well as a heating or temperature-control fault. One tray of uneven food does not prove the oven temperature sensor is defective. Start with the cooking guidance for the exact range and distinguish a consistent hot area from inconsistent results between recipes.
Note whether the issue affects conventional bake, convection or both, and whether more than one rack is in use. Describe which side browns first and whether preheating completes normally. Pan size, colour and crowding can change how heat reaches the food.
Use the recommended rack and leave the clearances specified in the manual. Do not line the oven floor with foil or block vents. Avoid repeated door opening during the comparison. Do not make large calibration adjustments to compensate for an unexplained change in performance.
If the pattern persists with appropriate loading, diagnosis needs to consider heating operation, temperature regulation, door sealing and the fan where fitted. A calibration setting cannot repair a failed element or fan. Provide the mode, rack and timing observations with the service request.
Send the full model number, the symptom and any displayed code when you request a visit. The $49 service call is applied toward the repair; confirm the full quote before authorising work. See the repair cost guide for questions to ask.
